The Queen Of Ireland (trailer). A documentary about accidental activist Rory O’Neill and his alter ego, drag queen Panti Bliss, during the run-up to the Irish marriage equality referendum in 2015. “A triumph” The Irish Times. “Unmissable” The Irish Independant. Watch on Amazon Prime or iTunes.
An experimental film, shot in New York.
One Hundred Mornings (trailer). Two warring couples hide out in a holiday home, trying to survive a world-changing threat. “An intelligent, delicate debut” The New York Times. “One of the very best Irish feature films of the last decade” The Irish Times. Watch on Amazon Prime.
About Beauty is a documentary about the challenging and thought-provoking work of conceptual artist, Dorothy Cross. An accomplished diver, Dorothy has an evolving and passionate interest in the sea and its inhabitants, and her art includes many pieces inspired by or made with found objects and sea creatures.
The film follows her as she makes new work on New Ireland, a small island off Papua New Guinea that is one of the last true wildernesses left on Earth. It also features highlights of her other sea-based work, including a behind the scenes look at the creation of the renowned “Ghost Ship” installation, when she moored a luminous lightship in the sea off Dun Laoghaire. This documentary marks the first time the artist has agreed to participate in a film about her work.
Deep End Dance. An Arts Council/RTE Dance On The Box film, featuring David Bolger of CoisCéim Theatre Company dancing underwater with his 76 year old mother. “An elegant, spare idea that was terrifically executed and made for a very moving piece.” The Irish Times.
The Last Time. On hearing that she may not have long to live, a middle-aged woman goes out looking for love in all the wrong places. Winner of seven awards worldwide, including the Jameson Best Irish Short and UIP Best Director awards, Cork Film Festival.
Happiness. An experimental, Arts Council-funded film in which pensioners, children, drag queens, homeless people, recovering addicts, and other people all over Ireland talk about happiness.
