This is my portrait of Colm Tóibín, who has just won the Rathbones Folio Prize for his book 'The Magician'. When I met him for the portrait, I mentioned how much I'd enjoyed reading about his testicle in his stunning cancer diary in the London Review of Books. He smiled and reached into his pocket, saying he had it in a small glass jar if I'd like to see it?

I politely declined.
